when walking in Masai Mara it can be good to have an experienced guide with you.
Dorobo means hunter in masai language, and this was a amazing hike with 4 dorobos.
But even the hunters live for the African motto, Hakuna Matata.

Two struggling reindeers on their search for food in the middle of February.
The Arctic tundra is a hard and solid desert with a few pieces of green/yellow gold for the poor once. Thet get what they find. Everything eatable is important to survive the cold Arctic winter.

A 3 kilometer long wave antanna is located at Kapp Linnè.
The antenna was used in old days to supply the Radio Station with NRK TV broadcasts.
More or less, very important for the staff working here.
Some days you see the whole cable and some days it looks like this.

We spent 9 days behind the dogsled last summer. A wonderful journey from Ymerbukta to Tre Kronor on Oscar the II land, Svalbard. Kida and Alfa were the leaders of a team of 10 alaskan huskys.

I love the contrast and the nice colours of the picture.

This one is going on a calvas for sure.

Lunchtime for two Svalbard reindeers in front of the gorgeous Hjortfjellet.
Location is Adventdalen in late August 2009.
They make sure that they eat enough so they can
make the coldwinter with reduced food source.
